Expertise Behind Perform At Work™

Perform At Work was developed by Tijuanna Adetunji, a workplace performance consultant and leadership trainer who works with organizations in both the United States and internationally.

Her work focuses on strengthening workplace professionalism, communication, and accountability across teams serving diverse client environments.

Through years of training and leadership experience, she recognized that many workplace performance challenges stem not from a lack of skill, but from gaps in professional conduct, communication, and decision-making.

The Perform At Work Professional Conduct System™ was developed to address those challenges through a structured, practical framework that organizations can implement to strengthen professional standards and improve performance.

Why the System Was Created

Through years of leadership, training, and organizational work, Tijuanna observed recurring patterns across many industries. Teams often face challenges related to communication breakdowns, unclear professional boundaries, and inconsistent accountability. These challenges are especially visible in client-facing environments where team members must respond to difficult situations while still maintaining professionalism.

They become even more complex within organizations operating across diverse and multicultural work environments. After working closely with cross-cultural teams and observing these patterns in real-world workplace settings, Tijuanna developed the Professional Conduct System to provides organizations with a practical framework that helps teams maintain professionalism even during challenging interactions.

Tijuanna’s professional journey spans leadership development, workforce training, organizational consulting, public service, and pastoral care. Her work has involved guiding individuals and teams through complex interpersonal challenges, conflict resolution, leadership development, and professional growth.

Her background in pastoral care and Clinical Pastoral Education strengthened her ability to listen, mediate conflict, and support individuals navigating difficult life and workplace situations. These experiences contributed significantly to the principles behind the system.

In addition to her consulting work, Tijuanna serves in public leadership roles supporting statewide educational initiatives through governance and advisory responsibilities. She has extensive experience working with organizations that serve communities across multiple sectors, including transportation, workforce development, nonprofit services, and other client-facing environments.

Tijuanna is also a veteran of the United States Army, an experience that strengthened her commitment to leadership, discipline, and service.

Professional Background

The Professional Conduct System was significantly shaped through real-world experience working with cross-cultural teams operating in diverse environments, including teams based in both the United States and Africa.

As these teams worked together to serve clients and manage daily workplace interactions, it became clear that professionalism, communication expectations, and accountability needed to be clearly defined and consistently reinforced across cultures. These experiences played an important role in the systems development, helping refine the practical standards and tools that support professionalism within diverse teams.

As a result, communication, collaboration, and professional conduct have been strengthened across cross-cultural teams, while clearer expectations guide how employees interact with clients and with one another.

Get to know us

We started as a small interior design firm in downtown Michigan, aiming to help home buyers make do with the new space that they had acquired. It soon became obvious that it would make sense to help our clients see beyond the walls and floor plans and be there with them from the get-go. Currently, we offer house realtor, interior design, and architecture services in order to help our customers find their forever homes as seamlessly and painlessly as possible.
